On Saturday Sauble Speedway opened the doors for the first in 2022 and welcomed back fans for the first time this season to watch an action packed night of racing. Mister Transmission of Owen Sound Opening Night featured touring divisions OSCAAR Modifieds, Hot Rods as well as our homegrown division the Combined 4's.
The Combined 4's took their time for heat races on Saturday night and with changing the time from 17.3 to 17.5 the driver's did not disappoint. Heat one the #08 of Pat Farrow take home the heat win. Heat two was the 08w of Cole Ecker. On the reset for the second round of qualifying in heat three the 14x of Brian Wilson Jr took home the victory and in heat four the 46x of Wayde Thorne took the final heat win of the night before their 20 lap feature later on in the night. Once the dust had settled the #08 of Pat Farrow was your feature winner with the #46x of Wayde Thorne finishing second and the 518 of Steve Heard finishing on the podium.

The OSCAAR Qwick Wick Hot Rods showed up in force with 29 cars battling for 24 spots in the feature race. Heat race #1 saw the #40 of Donny Beatty taking home the heat win. Heat #2 saw #93 Jeremy Broom get the win. Heat #3 is was the #9 of Cole Weber and heat #4 was the #47 of Steve Book. Heat #5 Cole Weber got his second heat win of the night. Heat #6 saw the #16 of Amanda Balson pick up the heat win. Heat #7 was the #47w of Tom Walters getting the heat win and the eighth heat race of the night seen the #03 pick up the final heat win of the night. When the dust settled on the 30 lap feature race for the OSCAAR Qwick Wick Hot Rods seen the #9 of Cole Weber pick up the feature win with the #47w of Tom Walters and the #47 of Steve Book rounding out the podium.

OSCAAR Racing also brought the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds for a 40 lap feature. Heat #1 saw the #35 of Andy Kamrath get the heat win, Heat #2 seen the #22 of Marshall Schrenk head to victory lane for his heat win. When they re racked them for their second round of heats for the night Andy Kamrath showed his muscle winning heat #3. The final heat of the night for the modifieds saw some late race contact but it was the #88 of Jake Watson getting the heat win. The field was set for their 40 lap feature and by the end it was the #35 of Andy Kamrath driving to victory lane.

This weekend it is the "Cruise To The Track 2022". This Saturday, June 25 make your way to Sauble Speedway and bring your classic car out to Sauble Speedway and take in a night at the races. Show & Shine starts at 2:00pm, racing starts at 7:00pm.
